A Lightning Round of Girl Power Orgs - With Thanks From Grateful Girls
This Thanksgiving, as we look skyward following the latest launches, hold each other close after recent tragedies, and gather at tables to give thanks, we're adding our gratitude for the organizations around us that give girls support. From the role model networks showing the next gen how work is done to the peer groups joining Être in our effort to empower today's girls, this week is all about spreading the love and giving deep thanks.
To that end, here is a sampling - 50 girl-powered orgs we are thankful for this season:
The Role Models
Think tanks, networks and epic pipelines that embolden girls while they empower women, like UN Women, Luminary, Ellevate Network, MAKERS Women, Chief, Lean In, The Female Lead, theSkimm, The Female Quotient and The Cru.
The Locker Room Leaders
Sport-focused squads like Voice in Sport™, VIS™, Women's Sports Foundation, Girls on the Run International, WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association), Female Athletes ROCK, Champion Women, Women in Sport, Angel City Football Club, International Paralympic Committee and Play it Forward.
The STEM Springboards
Science, tech, engineering & math mentors like Girls Who Code, Black Girls CODE, IF/THEN, IEEE, Girls Into Coding , BUILT BY GIRLS, Society of Women Engineers, NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, National Science Foundation (NSF) and Girlstart.
The Money Mentors
Women who think we're worth the whole dollar, like Ellevest, Girls Who Invest, Girls With Impact , Invest in Girls (A Program of CEE), Girlboss, Rock The Street, Wall Street , The Fourth Floor, HerMoney, 100 Women In Finance and all the women at the banks, funds, exchanges & trading floors hosting our girls.
The Girl Squad
Finally, friends linking arms - globally, nationally and locally - to help Être Girls do what we do, like Girls Inc., Girl Scouts of the USA, Rebel Girls, YWCA USA, Career Girls, UN Girls' Education Initiative (UNGEI), Tools & Tiaras Inc., LiveGirl, Today is Her Story and National Girls Collaborative.
There are so many more (tons not on LinkedIn, so find them on Insta here), and we're always looking to meet new friends. But for right now, just know that we are sending grateful thanks from girls everywhere for organizations like these. Groups that know how much mentors, role models, coaches and champions matter for a rising workforce.
Our gratitude knows no bounds.
Looking forward,
Illana
